Obamacare

Obamacare must be repealed quickly. There are more cons to this program than what we had before. I experienced socialized medicine in Russia, having given birth to my fourth child there. The summary of my experience: socialized medicine is not for America.  If you believe that a socialized medical system means everyone will be seen and have a right to healthcare, think again. The system that says you have an obligation to share will have no obligation to provide if you never shared.

As I travel this district, I hear story after story about the impact of Obamacare on individual families, employers and medical providers. The premiums and deductibles have skyrocketed. Employers are pushed out of providing great coverage. We have people signing up to pay the fine rather than be insured because it's not cost-effective to insure their family. Others are quitting their jobs in order to qualify for free healthcare. Doctors are not getting paid in a timely fashion, and the regulations that come with Obamacare are decreasing their efficiency by 20-30%. Even more, countless insurance companies have gone out of business--putting people out of work.

I want to see healthcare decisions and payment plans be decided between the provider and the patient. I am for a market-based healthcare insurance system with allowance for competitive Health Savings Accounts without first needing to pay an insurance premium. I am in favor of the current faith-based sharing programs. However, no family and no business should be forced into buying a program to provide healthcare. I am opposed to healthcare providers turning people away on account of their income, social status, or insurance status.
